>Sketch Every Day: 6.22.11

One of my clients in Rancho Santa Fe has a beautifully landscaped front courtyard filled with these beautiful succulents, native to Southern California. I think some of them are “Chalk Dudleya”.  They are massive and sturdy, yet look so pretty with their leaves arranged in a perfect petal pattern somewhat like the bloom of the more delicate rose, peony or dahlia.

Drawings by Mason (left) of Uncle Mark, and PJ (right) of a robber dressed head to toe in black mask and clothes, carrying two sacks of $.
