I’m hand-feeding envelopes to my printer right now for wedding invites due out tomorrow….so I sketched this “lace” pattern while standing next to the printer awaiting the manual feed’s request for the next batch. Blunt blue and red colored pencil (couldn’t find the sharpener)…
Last week in Mason’s 1st grade class, I taught another “directed draw” class, using one of the projects from the school’s “Art Attack” binder. Once again, I was too busy to prepare an actual lesson…so I just grabbed some paper and watercolors from the art room and flipped through the binder to find a subject for the lesson. Step-by-step, I showed the kids how to draw each piece of the composition, then let them paint everything using watercolors. I thought they turned out great!
